About Leo

Leo Schofield's life is a profound testament to resilience, faith, and the transformative power of grace. In 1987, at the age of 21, Leo was a budding guitarist in Florida, married to his high school sweetheart, Michelle. Tragically, their lives took a devastating turn when Michelle was found murdered, leading to Leo's conviction and a life sentence in 1989.

Despite maintaining his innocence, Leo spent 35 years behind bars. During this time, he experienced a profound spiritual awakening, embracing Christianity and dedicating himself to ministry within the prison walls. He co-founded "The Watchers," a prison ministry band that led worship services and provided encouragement to fellow inmates.

In 2022, the "Bone Valley" podcast brought renewed attention to Leo's case, uncovering new evidence and raising questions about his conviction. This led to his release on parole in April 2024.

Now free, Leo continues his ministry, sharing his story of faith and perseverance to inspire others facing their own trials. Leo’s journey from wrongful imprisonment to leading other towards Christ inspires audiences with the enduring strength of the human spirit and the redemptive power of Jesus.
